Bodhi Sativa: Egyptian Sinai x Cretan Greek x Himalayan Malana Cream x Kandahar Afghani

Bodhi Sativa is a beautiful expression of some of my favorite old-world genetics. As the name suggests, this is a deeply introspective and uplifting variety that encourages a dreamy, happy state of mind and a gentle, easygoing attitude—qualities I’ve come to truly appreciate. In higher doses, it can bring about such deep relaxation that a peaceful, blissful sleep is often inevitable.

I bred this line using landrace genetics from Egypt, Crete, India, and Afghanistan, aiming to create something that reflects the spirit and power of traditional hashplants while offering the clarity and creativity of a good sativa. The plants are vigorous and tall—easily reaching 9 to 12 feet—with long branches that hold thick floral clusters dripping in sticky, fragrant resin.

The aroma is sweet and earthy, with hints of grape, citrus, and creamy florals. Bodhi Sativa performs equally well for hashish or flower production. The buds are dense and incredibly sticky—just brushing your fingers against them leaves a layer of resin that speaks to their strong hashplant lineage.

The effect is vibrant, creative, and long-lasting. In small doses, it’s cheerful, euphoric, and gently stimulating. At higher doses, it becomes deeply relaxing and introspective. It’s powerful, but not overwhelming—making it a great option for both seasoned smokers and those who are still exploring.

This line thrives in poor soils, with very little care or input, and always seems to reward me with towering, resin-rich plants. Harvest is typically around October, and I think old-school smokers will especially enjoy the familiar flavors and effects that echo the golden days of landrace cannabis.
